According to rule# 162 of the Ferengi "Rules Of Acquisition" (Ferengi are a fictional spices on the hit TV show Star Trek) "Even in the worst of times someone turns a profit". I'm a Star Trek fan, I make no apologies for it, so you will see some references to the show. This rule is especially true today where unemployment is at an all time high. Well I say lets take lemons and make some delicious lemonade. This side job involves helping those in need of jobs find jobs. Side Job as a Freelance Writer |

MrSideJob writes "
Helium.com pays you for your writing.
This is how it works. Publishers want an article written but instead of writing it themselves they publish it on Helium.com and ask us to write it for them. Thus a side job opportunity arrives. The topics very from "How can parents deal with Bullying" to "Treatment for drug and alcohol addiction" to "New England Destinations". This side job is more of a contest due to the fact that your article has to be selected out a group of other people who submitted an article for the same topic. The pay out varies from $10 to $100+ depending on how much Publishers want to spend.
Helium.com also offers a few other ways to make some side job cash. They pay on:

This side job is great for people who enjoy writing or anyone who can write well. This side job has the potential to bring in a lot of money since I didn't read anything restricting the amount of articles we are allowed to submit.
Things you should know:
-
You must have a minimum of $25 in your account before they will let you withdraw your money.
-
They pay via PayPal. (As always, Awesome!)

Side Jobs for Extra Money |
 |
MrSideJob writes "Teaching English Abroad - There are many programs that will pay you to go into other countries to talk in English. Of course they require some type of certification. This is a great side job for recent high school and college graduates who don't have any job or life restrictions. I know of at least 2 of my college buddy's who went directly to Japan after graduation for a few months and loved the experience. If you have every wanted to live in or visit other exotic country's then this is the side job for you. Here is "Laura Mann" feedback for teaching in Japan.
Teach courses at your local community center or adult school - There are tons of classes that are offered in your community and adult schools, you should look to see what is offered and find something that interests you. This is a great side jobs for teachers because they most likely already have all the proper credentials. This is a brief video on how to start your own class at the Learning Annex.
Tutor - Tutors are always needed. Math tutors, English tutors, Chess tutors, you name it they need a tutor for it. Do you know how to program in C++, well someone out there has a homework assignment they need help with. Know the difference between a proton and a neutron, some of us don't and could use a tutor. I recommend going to CraigsList.org, click on the "jobs" link and then do a search for "Tutors". If you like to help others and make some extra cash then this is the side job idea for you.
Cut lawns and landscaping - Sometimes the best side job for you is dictated by the tools you have in your garage. Do you have a lawn mower, shovels, a large straw hat, then you could have a side job cutting lawns and/or landscaping. If your willing to do some hard labor on the weekends then you can make some cash to buy an even larger straw hat. I suggest starting local, ask your neighbors and post flyers. If you do a great job they will recommend you to their friends and your side job will boom. "

MrSideJob writes "A great side job is to run your own website. It's cheap and relatively easy to setup and run.
- Website software is freely available on the internet. I recommend RavenNuke(tm) which can be found on RavenPhpScripts.com
Websites usually contain interesting content or they offer some type of service.
- With the help of people like you, SideJobList.com intends to provide many different content and service ideas.
To generate revenue you could ether place advertisements or sell products on your site.
