Side Job as a Headhunter
Side JobsMrSideJob writes "

In time of crises people are losing their jobs at an alarming rate. But when there is need there are opportunities. According to rule# 162 of the Ferengi "Rules Of Acquisition" (Ferengi are a fictional spices on the hit TV show Star Trek) "Even in the worst of times someone turns a profit". I'm a Star Trek fan, I make no apologies for it, so you will see some references to the show. This rule is especially true today where unemployment is at an all time high. Well I say lets take lemons and make some delicious lemonade. This side job involves helping those in need of jobs find jobs. A Headhunter is defined as "A personnel recruiter for a corporation or executive recruitment agency" or more simply, its a person that finds other people a job.

Side Jobs for Extra Money
Side JobsMrSideJob writes "

Teaching English Abroad - There are many programs that will pay you to go into other countries to talk in English. Of course they require some type of certification. This is a great side job for recent high school and college graduates who don't have any job or life restrictions. I know of at least 2 of my college buddy's who went directly to Japan after graduation for a few months and loved the experience. If you have every wanted to live in or visit other exotic country's then this is the side job for you. Here is "Laura Mann" feedback for teaching in Japan.

Teach courses at your local community center or adult school - There are tons of classes that are offered in your community and adult schools, you should look to see what is offered and find something that interests you. This is a great side jobs for teachers because they most likely already have all the proper credentials. This is a brief video on how to start your own class at the Learning Annex.

Tutor - Tutors are always needed. Math tutors, English tutors, Chess tutors, you name it they need a tutor for it. Do you know how to program in C++, well someone out there has a homework assignment they need help with. Know the difference between a proton and a neutron, some of us don't and could use a tutor. I recommend going to, click on the "jobs" link and then do a search for "Tutors". If you like to help others and make some extra cash then this is the side job idea for you.

Cut lawns and landscaping - Sometimes the best side job for you is dictated by the tools you have in your garage. Do you have a lawn mower, shovels, a large straw hat, then you could have a side job cutting lawns and/or landscaping. If your willing to do some hard labor on the weekends then you can make some cash to buy an even larger straw hat. I suggest starting local, ask your neighbors and post flyers. If you do a great job they will recommend you to their friends and your side job will boom.

My Side Job Update for Targeted Traffic
UpdateMrSideJob writes "

As of today Google’s Project 10100 is now closed, I know because I checked.

My last article, Thousands of targeted traffic hits to your Side Job website, I discussed how to get targeted traffic. Most of the time I take my own advice and most of the time I procrastinate. Well last night was not different and like many other late nights I paid the price. Let me paint a picture for you, it was late last night about a hour and a half until Google’s dead line. I finally finished making my 30sec video, which took me 2 hours to lean how to create, and I was ready to uploaded it to YouTube but HOLD ON YouTube is being updated, Oh No it won’t, Oh No I can’t, it’s not uploading!!!!!!!!!! YouTube decided to overhaul their system last night and I couldn't upload my video, thanks YouTube. I did submit my great idea on time but without the video it’s going to be harder to get any traffic to my other side job site.

I hope all of you had better luck with this tip than I did. Now that this project is closed we can all feel free to discuss our ideas without the fear of someone stealing it. I would really like to hear your ideas and see your videos so please leave me a comment.

Thousands of targeted traffic hits to your Side Job website
AdvertisingMrSideJob writes "

Advertising is very important to the success of any business and side jobs are no different. You can pay through the nose for advertising or you can go the free route. I prefer the free route (don’t you?). Most free advertising strategies deal with submitting links to website after countless website but if you’re creative you can pull out a real stunner. Oh boy, do I have a stunner! Well I don’t have it yet but it’s in the works.

What if you can get thousands or even hundreds of thousands of targeted traffic to your side job website? How much would you pay? How much time would you spend trying to get this type of traffic? Well it’s going to cost you $0 and maybe an hour or two of your time. Google is starting a “Change the World project” called Project 10100 (pronounced "Project 10 to the 100th"). Project 10100 is a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible. This is how it works: you submit a great idea that can help change the world for the better and if Google likes it, they will post your idea online for all Google users to vote on. This project is world wide and Google has millions of users. The top 5 ideas will split $10 million which will go towards the implementation of the idea. For our purposes of advertising, you don’t need to win; you just need to get to the voting stage which will only have 100 spots. These 100 spots will have (I’m guessing) over a million viewers which could turn into thousands of targeted traffic hits to your site. In Google’s idea submission page there is an option to link a 30sec YouTube video to your entry. This is where you can advertise your real world side job or online side job. When you make your video I recommend that you add a graphic that states “If anyone wants to know more about (enter your idea here) you can go to (enter your website here)”. When you add the video to YouTube make sure that you also add your side job website to your profile. If you do win the contest, congratulations and thanks for changing the world.

Don’t drag your feet, Project 10100 ends on October 20, 2008.

Side Jobs Generating Leads
MonetizeMrSideJob writes "

Generate Leads with RevResponse and turn it into a Side Job.

RevResponse is an affiliate that pays you to give away useful and informative “magazine subscriptions and other business resources, including informative white papers, analyst reports, live and on-demand webinars, software downloads, podcasts, and more, across a wide range of industries.”. Adding this program to your online side job portfolio is a must.

It’s free to sign up for there program and its free for your customers to sign up for subscriptions. RevResponse will pay you a minimum of $1.50 for every qualified subscription/request. This program is an excellent way to generate a moderate amount of income. $1.50 may not sound like a lot but actually it is a lot, especially since its free. Most affiliate programs do pay you more but they also require your customer to buy their product. As a side job specialist you should be able to capitalize on this program.

How can I incorporate this program as a side job?
This program has really good potential. It can be used on existing websites and blogs or it can be solely used in classifieds such as craigslist. One of the things I like about this program is that it’s not played out to death. What I mean is that it’s not advertised to the point where people get sick of seeing their ads. This type of monetizing is relatively unknown by the average internet user so it’s much easier to get your customers to click on your links. I’m always looking to sell products that my customers really want and are cheep. Giving away free subscriptions are both wanted and are very cheep.

One of the keys to making money with side jobs is to have a few of them. It's rather hard to make a lot of money with only one side job but its rather easy to make a good amount of money with several side jobs. Having multiple online side jobs is just a teaser of an article I plan on releasing later on. The article will describe several online side jobs and how you can take advantage of them. One of the tips that I will release now is that I recommend having a few websites/blogs scattered all around the internet in just as many categories. By advertising on all of your sites you can essentially multiply your potential revenue. Lets say you have 3 sites and you are getting the minimum of $1.50 per subscription and you somehow manage to only get 1 person per site, this means that you would earn $4.50 for just adding a link to your site. Now lets say you make another 3 sites, this would now double your income to $9.00. Like I said before the key to making money with side jobs is to have many of them.

RevResponse is currently issuing a challenge that putts money in your pocket. For the month of July you can earn $50 for writing 200 words that promote RevResponse. I am accepting that challenge and have written this article. I’m also going to keep an eye on them because if they can do a $50 challenge in July they can do a $50 challenge any month of the year. This leads me to another idea for a side job, you can earn some good money by filling offers just like this one.
